The event will be organized by Breathe Foundation that challenges people to go beyond their usual surroundings and engage with the ecosystem. The aim of the Foundation is an invitation to everybody to stop for a moment and reassess our attitudes from a totally different perspective.
The city of Itacare was chosen for the fact of being surrounding by the Atlantic forest, recognized by UNE SCO as one of the most biologically diverse heritage of endemic flora and fauna on the planet.
Threats to the Atlantic forest deforestation have made Breathe Foundation, in partnership with other organizations, to plan actions in order to protect and preserve the forest.
The event will include music, art, workshops, surfing, capoeira, trekking, Candomblé, visits to wildlife reserves, to reforestation projects, to the department of animal rescue, to education and social programs, lectures and documentaries exhibitions.
The Breathe Foundation is a nonprofit organization from Zurich in Switzerland that aims to create and develop initiatives to develop a greater awareness for social and ecological issues in a global level.Other entities are involved in this event as: The Sudden Rush Atlantic Rainforest Institute, SOS Mata Atlantica, Instituto de Estudos do Sul da Bahia, Floresta Viva and APA Itacaré Serra Grande.
